Ross Anderson is a Cheyenne-Arapaho/Mescalero Apache athlete who has the distinction of being the world's fastest Native American whose fastest recorded speed in competition. I've known Ross for several years.
I met him at the Dealership I use to work for in Durango, Colorado. He would come into the Dealership to get his vehicle maintenanced. We ended up talking and eventually I invited him to be a keynote speaker for the Fort Lewis College AISES Regional Conference. He was more than happy to do it. Especially, for the students. He's a tremendous role model for the children, youth, and all Natives alike. As far as I know, he's the only Native American speed skier. For more info about Ross, just click on the image above.
